The Watcher’s Perch

Flora and fauna together - inextricably linked. Like the crows in my Birds of a Feather series, owls are fascinating creatures of the sky. In this series, I was thinking about owls in their natural habitat, creatures not only of the sky but of the trees, needing that habitat and thriving there. Trees as the essence and center…observation towers, homes, roosts, camouflage, and sanctuaries. Selections from this series are available in my Shop.

Rabbit Tales

Observing Eastern Cottontails in urban and suburban settings, I realized that this humble species had managed to carve out a niche in places where most wildlife has been pushed out. As I developed these images through collagraph (a new technique I have adopted with great enthusiasm), the images took on a whimsical life of their own.
